Co-hosted by the UCI Center on Law, Equality and Race (CLEAR), this is the first public symposium of a project launched by a group of law, humanities and social science scholars to look at empirical studies of race and identity and critical work looking at similar subject matters.
The panels will offer legal and social science perspectives on various issues at the intersection of the empirical and doctrinal/critical study of race. A number of papers from this symposium and a companion working group meeting will be published in the Fall 2012 issue of the UC Irvine Law Review.
More information on the symposium page: law.uci.edu/critical_race_theory_April2012.html
The symposium is free and open to the public, but please RSVP online to ensure a seat.
